Safe & Green Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning
SafeTGreen Carpet Cleaning offers safe, green and guaranteed carpet and upholstery cleaning in Jacksonville, St. Augustine and all of Florida’s First Coast. That’s all we do and our goal is to be the best carpet and upholstery cleaning company in Jacksonville.
Safe. Green. Guaranteed Clean.
We use the safest, most eco-friendly and most effective carpet cleaning solutions, stain removers and techniques to clean your carpets and upholstery. SafeTGreen cleans using hot-water extraction (often called “steam cleaning”) to clean your carpet all the way to the base of the fibers where dust mites, bacteria and dead skin cells accumulate.
Extraction cleaning removes soils right down to the carpet backing. This method also has one of the shortest down times, due to minimum carpet wetting.
– Reckitt Benckiser
Hot water extraction is the most effective carpet cleaning technique and The Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) recomends the extraction method as part of regular carpet maintenance program that includes frequent vacuuming.
Regular carpet maintenance is essential to preserve the carpet’s initial appearance and for maintaining good indoor air quality. Regular, proper vacuum cleaning with an effective, well-functioning vacuum cleaner that has strong air flow, adjustable brushes, and an enclosed high-efficiency filtration bag removes and traps indoor contaminants. Quick removal of spots and spills is important to avoid stains and fungal growth. Have carpet extraction cleaned, either professionally or with home methods…
– The Carpet and Rug Institute
Our cleaning solutions are the safest, most environmentally-friendly and most effective products available. The safety of your family, your pets and our technicians is one of our primary concerns. Most professional carpet cleaning companies use chemicals on your carpet that you wouldn’t ever want on your skin, much less in your mouth. SafeTGreen Carpet Cleaning is family-owned and operated and each of our teams of professional carpet cleaning technicians is lead by an employee-owner. We don’t want to poison our family or yours with harmful chemicals.
We stress the word “effective,” because it does little good to be green if your carpet isn’t clean when we’re finished. We have found safe, effective and environmentally friendly carpet cleaning solutions that are effective as their chemical-factory-produced counterparts. In fact, many of the natural products are more effective than the dangerous chemicals most carpet cleaners use.
The basic ingredients of carpet cleaners are perchloroethylene (used in dry cleaning) and naphthalene … The fumes given off by rug cleaners can cause cancer, damage your liver, and have been known to cause dizziness, sleepiness, nausea, loss of appetite and disorientation… Be sure to use these products in well ventilated area and try not to breathe the fumes. – The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
The Environmental Protection Agency has recognized carpet as a major factor in your home’s indoor air quality. Carpet has occasionally gotten a bad rap for trapping and holding allergens, but in reality, carpets act as your home’s largest indoor air filter. Hard surface floors receive the same amount of dust mites, pollen and animal dander as carpet, but on hard floors any air movement will disturb the fallen particles, causing them to mix into the air and move upward into the “breathing zone.” Particles trapped in carpet remain trapped beneath the fibers until someone walks on them, at which time most will settle back into the carpet rather than reaching the breathing zone.
The EPA Recommends the Following Cleaning Schedule for Residential Carpet:
W/Children & Pets
|Normal||4-6 mos||6 mos||3-6 mos|
|Dusty||2 mos||1 mos||1 mos|
|High Humidity||4-6 mos||4 mos||3 mos|
